This month, APIHS and Loranger Coatings found themselves immersed in a string of exciting, enriching events. Our commitment and passion for innovation and sustainable development took us to three major industry gatherings. Here’s a look back at our recent professional adventures.
Connection and Innovation at CANSEC 2024
Our month kicked off in style with our participation in CANSEC 2024, Canada’s leading defence and security trade show, held in Ottawa. Organized by the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI), CANSEC is a global event showcasing cutting-edge technologies, products, and services for land, naval, aerospace, and joint military units. It was an exhilarating experience to meet industry professionals spanning defence, construction, and design — all eager and keen to hear about our research and development products. Our trip to Ottawa was a memorable one, marked by key connections and the exploration of innovative solutions shaping the future of defence and security.
Innovation on Display at the Canadian Mining Expo 2024
Building on that momentum, we proudly exhibited at the Canadian Mining Expo 2024 in Timmins, Ontario. With more than 400 booths showcasing the latest innovations, products, and services, this event provided a fantastic platform to highlight how our products benefit both the environment and the mining industry. The expo opened with a gala dinner on June 4, followed by the trade show on June 5 and 6. We took part in a variety of conferences, including “Mining for Talent,” the First Nations Forum, and the “Projects in the Pipeline” series. Connecting with job seekers at the career fair was equally rewarding, as we discussed the many opportunities our industry has to offer.
Rich Discussions at the Conference of Montreal
Our participation in the Conference of Montreal (CDM) rounded out the month on a high note. Launched in 1994, CDM is an internationally recognized event that brings together decision-makers from government, business, and academia to tackle the world’s most pressing issues. Organized by IEFA in partnership with Integra Capital, the conference offered a unique blend of North American and European perspectives on topics such as the economy, global leadership, sustainability, energy, and innovation. Holding the event in the heart of French-speaking Canada added a rich socio-political and economic perspective, making the experience invaluable for all participants.
Our contributions and interactions at CDM underscored our commitment to promoting positive change and innovation on a global scale.
Exploration and Networking at Collision 2024
We also had the pleasure of taking part in Collision 2024, one of the largest tech events in the world, held in Toronto. This event brought together startups, investors, journalists, and tech leaders from a wide range of sectors. We had the opportunity to showcase our innovations and explore potential new collaborations. The many talks, panel discussions, and workshops proved an endless source of inspiration and fresh ideas for our future development. Collision’s diversity and international reach made this experience a real springboard for strengthening our presence on the global tech stage.
